Small Business Phone Services

We have small business phone service available. Are you a small business or office that wants a professional phone system at a fraction of the cost of a traditional phone system? Are you a contractor that would like to receive business calls to your cell phone? We can setup your business number and enable the auto attendant. Clients can select to speak to sales or installation staff or any other number of programmable scenarios. The phone can then ring to your office and/or cell phones. We can program it a number of different ways. You can have all incoming calls ring to your office phone and cell phone at the same time. You can even save on long distance through your cell phone company by making calls through the VoIP app on your phone. Also when making calls to clients your business number will show up instead of your cell phone number.

What is VoIP?

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a method for communicating by voice over the internet instead of through traditional phone lines.

With VoIP, you can make a call from anywhere you have broadband connectivity. Since IP phones or ATAs broadcast their info over the Internet, you can literally take your phone with you and still receive calls from your house or business line. So business travelers can take their phones with them and always have access to their business or home phone. There is also software and App’s that can be installed on a cell phone or onto your desktop or laptop. This allows you to place calls from anywhere in the broadband-connected world. If your home and business are located in Toronto you could take your VoIP phone with you to Florida and plug it into your internet down there and make local, long distance free calls to your family, friends and clients back home in the Toronto area. You could also connect your cell phone to wifi and then use the VoIP app on your cellphone to make phone calls. This will be much cheaper than paying for roaming charges or buying a SIM to use internationally. You can also receive your voicemail messages by email for easy retrieval and follow ups.

Most VoIP companies provide the features that normal phone companies charge extra for when they are added to your service plan. VoIP includes:

  • Caller ID
  • Call waiting
  • Call transfer
  • Repeat dial
  • Return call
  • Three-way calling

You can also check voice mail via the Web or attach messages to an e-mail that is sent to your computer or handheld.

You will need to use a new VoIP phone in order to make and receive calls. If you would still like to use your old traditional phones then you can have an ATA installed which converts the VoIP to a traditional phone line so that you can still plug in and use your old phones. Installation by a techniciand will mostly be required to set this up unless you are handy with wiring and setting up network related equipment.
